If you’ve been climbing for a while, would like to be a little more independent, but aren’t quite ready to make the leap to leading outdoors, this bottom rope rigging workshop could be for you. This six hour workshop will introduce you to the equipment and techniques used to create safe and reliable bottom rope systems so you can get outside and get climbing. Areas covered include:
- Hazard awareness.
- The fundamentals of anchor building.
- When to use passive protection.
- When to use active protection.
- Natural protection, such as threads, spikes and trees.
- Rope choice.
