Spring is upon us and finer weather seems to be edging ever nearer. No doubt many of you will be itching to hit the crags again, or indeed for the first time, after a winter of indoor climbing. For those of you who's gear cupboards aren't full to bursting, or who may not have the know-how to get out and climb safely by yourselves, I'm pleased to be able to confirm our spring 2016 Rock Out dates.
Rock Out crag days give new and improving climbers the chance to get onto real rock, under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor, without bank breaking expense. The days begin at one of Northumberland's many and beautiful sandstone crags, and they offer hours of safe, exhilarating climbing. The days also allow climbers to learn or hone belay skills whilst outdoors in some of the counties most beautiful locations.
Instructor/client ratios are kept low, no more than 1:6, which means that there are plenty of opportunities to climb and large group numbers don't spoil the fun. Harnesses and helmets can be supplied where necessary, and climbers are encouraged to bring their own rock shoes if they have them.
